Celebration of Life
We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating the life of Jerry Burnham on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 5:30 PM at Deukmejian Wilderness Park (3429 Markridge Rd, Glendale, CA 91214)
This will be a casual and heartfelt gathering to honor Jerry’s life, share stories, memories, laughter, and the many moments that made him who he was. There will be time for anyone who would like to speak or reflect on their experiences with him. We hope this evening brings together the people who knew and loved Jerry to celebrate his spirit, his adventures, and the impact he had on those around him. Comfortable outdoor attire is encouraged as we gather together in one of his favorite settings to remember him.
Parking & Accessibility - There is parking available at the park, but we will also be running a shuttle from the street below if parking at the park fills up. Guests are welcome to drop people off at the park before parking below if needed. The park is also ADA accessible.
Food & Drink - We’ll have light food and drinks available at the park during the celebration.
Deukmejian Wilderness Park held a special place in Jerry’s heart. He spent countless hours there volunteering and caring for the land he loved so deeply - from developing the park’s reforestation project, to maintaining the historic vineyard, to countless hours of trail maintenance and repair, and the hundreds of hikes he enjoyed along its trails. It was more than just a park to him; it was a place of purpose, connection, and peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who wish to honor Jerry’s memory to consider supporting local conservation efforts or veteran organizations, causes that meant so much to him throughout his life.
